His first Sportscenter...

Forget first steps, first words, or any of that...what's really important is his first watching of Sportcenter. I helped him knock it out the other day.

Squish face

Jake's employs the squish face to keep away the Paparazzi....

Later that same Sunday morning...

Jake and Dad went to wake Mommy up...

Relaxing on Sunday morning...

Jake, and Dad, have found that Jake enjoys the comfort of being inside Dad's bathrobe.

Here's a picture of the both of us watching "The Pacifier" early last Sunday morning.
By the way, if anybody happens to run into Vin Diesel (the "star" of the movie), please tell him that he owes me 2 hours.

Parents First Pictures

Technically, Jake's first picture with Mom is shown in the post from 1/10/06. I'm certain though that she'd rather remember this as her first picture with the little guy.

As for me, this picture represents the culmination of 9 months of work, stress, hurricanes, and a C-Section...no wonder my parents said that I looked as if I'd been "hit by a truck".

First post...

Well everybody, I know I'm about a week late in starting this, but since today is the day that they were supposed to INDUCE Lena I figure it's as good a time as any to start.

Jacob Hudson Liller - born to the world via C-Section on January 4th, 2006 - 9:15 PM. He was 8 lbs. and 21 inches long.

Yes, Mommy and Baby-boy are doing just fine. Jake was put into the NICU for a little while to take an IV of fluids and antibiotics, (Lena had a cold) but other then that he's just ready to kickstart his little life.

Lena went into the hospital on Tuesday night January 3rd around 8ish after complaining of nausea and stomach cramping, as it turned out she was having minor contractions as well. After being admitted and staying the night in the hospital Lena fought the contractions till about 2ish when the "wonderful" drugs were administered.

However, Jacob, being his father's son, got Mommy to a certain point at pretty much said "You know what? This is hard...I'm just going stay here." Unfortunately then for Jake, and fortunately for Mom, the doctor had different ideas.

Now I think it's a sign, and the others think I'm crazy, but Jake was born around the middle of the third quarter of the College National Championship football game. Future linebacker? Only time will tell...
